A wall art trend bringing a country together

The year 2019 saw a new wave in Sri Lanka. Paintings were created on the walls of the streets on the concept of a beautiful Sri Lanka. The youth of Sri Lanka made a great contribution to this. Those who studied art as well as those who did not joined this event. Everyone worked happily together. So we got together to decorate our village town with paintings.😍

My aunt and I and other village brothers and sisters drew a picture together. We drew on the wall of Rambadagalla school. The theme used was part of the idea of the King of the Wessanthara Jataka of the Degaldoruwa Rajamaha Vihara "donating white elephants". It took about eight days to complete the painting.First we removed the posters from the wall, cleaned them and washed them. Then the broken parts of the wall were covered with white emulsion paint and the drawing was done with chalk. Then it was painted with emulsion paint. A few more friends helped with the painting.

Every vehicle on the road can see it. Everybody is very happy when they say it is beautiful. Went to draw and met new friends. We ate together. We had a good time and gave our country something valuable.💙
