My First Scuplture

           I made my first sculpture for the Department of Sculpture examination. The teachers taught us step by step how to make the sculpture. I started to make it very happy too. Because I've never made a sculpture before. So it was a great experience for me. 

           A week before this work I went to Kandy on a holiday. That day I went to the grocery store called "Minmadura" . I bought clay ,clay tools and wire. When I got home I had no patience until the sculpture was made.

                                                                                     We were given the task of assembling five animals to create a new one. I used snakes, bats, humans, lions and dinosaurs. I created myself from the head of a snake, the feathers of a bat, the legs of a dinosaur, the chest of a man and the hand of a lion.

                                                                                     Making the sculpture was not as easy as I thought. The sculpture was made by slowly moving small pieces of clay. It took longer than expected. My clay tools also helped to reshape the sculpture. My sister was eagerly waiting for me to make it. I also gave her some clay to make something she liked.

                                                     I think I did the sculpture better than I thought. I'm so happy with my first sculpture that I was somewhat successful. I did not forget to share this with my friends. I got a good response from them. I am very happy about that.💓
